Apple doesn't fix iPhone 4 hardware defect

Yeah, we didn't do a liveblog. No, we didn't forget. Did we really need to do one? Who didn't see where this was going to end up?

Ok, so long story short: Apple trolled the shit out of a bunch of smartphones, insisted there was no problem with the iPhone 4, yet still ended up giving away a bunch of rubber bands to fix the nonexistent issue.

But not permanently. The offer ends September 30th, which is likely when the last batch of the defective first version of the iPhone 4 will be sold.

Said Jobs, "I'm not sure what you're after here, would you rather that we were Korean companies rather than American companies?"

Can we have a poll on that, Steve? And can we choose which Korea?
