This guy's nuts. The netbook is essentially aimed at college students that want a notebook that they can take to classes with them all day, take notes, and write up papers with...while being cheap.

Can't fucking do any of that with the iPad. What are they going to do, buy the extra stand/keyboard attachment that comes with it, and take that to class with them everyday? I don't fucking think so.

Apple is as retarded as ever.

"I'm not sure the same could be said for the iPad. If your work is limited to office productivity software and e-mail, you'll be fine. But can a Web developer write code on the iPad? Can a blogger download, edit and upload photos? And what about specialized software that only work on Macs or PCs? For people whose work requires a bit more flexibility, no amount of magic will get the job done."

I find it sad my 5 year old PC beats the iPad in so many ways

>But can a Web developer write code on the iPad?

Yes. And it may even be less uncomfortable than using a cramped netbook screen for the same task. The iPad's screen is built-in, huge, and you can even attach a full-sized keyboard.

>Can a blogger download, edit and upload photos?

Yes. You can already do this on the iPhone.

>And what about specialized software that only work on Macs or PCs?

Then you wouldn't use a netbook, you'd use a laptop, since it's so "specialized". What about specialized software that only works on iPhone OS?

>For people whose work requires a bit more flexibility, no amount of magic will get the job done.

And neither will a netbook.

My 12 inch 1366x768 resolution screen and my full chiclet keyboard would like a word with you. Also "you can even attach a full-sized keyboard?" How the fuck is that convenient? Oh, right. Nothing like carrying around extra, unnecessary accessories!

>Then you wouldn't use a netbook, you'd use a laptop, since it's so "specialized". What about specialized software that only works on iPhone OS?

There's nothing productive on the iPhone OS, so I have no clue where you're going with this.

>And neither will a netbook.

Except my netbook can run the entire Adobe creative suite just fine (which is really all I need for the things I do) as well as several audio applications, notepad++, C++ compilers, and even some games.

Call me when the iPad can do anything more than make faggots like you salivate.

On second thought... don't bother. Your call will probably drop anyway.

Shouldn't you be sending in your Mac to have the screen fixed?

I don't see the "magic" in a bigger iPod Touch. An iPod, sure, OS X, sure, whatever. But there's nothing that's separating the iPod Touch from the iPad. Absolutely nothing. Apart from the keyboard attachment, I guess, but that just goes to show that the iPad isn't meant to do heavy word processing anyway.

What absolutely frightens me is that this will be a commercial success and that Apple proves that it literally CAN rehash an idea and make a profit on it simply because of that cute little logo. Sort of like The Beatles and the White Album (or at least the track "Revolution 9").

What does the iPhone have one of that the iPad doesn't?

A CAMERA. So, no, you cannot upload photos. Both are pieces of shit anyway.
