Steve Jobs reportedly goes ballistic over troll tweet

"This tweet sent from an iPad. Does it look cool?"

That's all it took for Steve Jobs to reportedly snap and tear into The Wall Street Journal's online executive editor at a recent iPad "show-and-tell" outing for the media industry.

The tweet was quickly deleted, and Alan Murray, the Journal editor in question, declined to comment beyond saying that he "would love to talk about this, but can't."

This is profound. Why is nobody scrutinizing this? Apple has effectively censored the editor of a major news operation.

It's no secret that Apple and Steve Jobs in particular are paranoid over any news coverage of their company, adverse or otherwise, so it's unfortunate that the conflict of interest issues surrounding the iPad aren't being examined more in-depth.

Jobs' apparently successful tantrum is an occurrence that should give pause to news organizations considering support of a proprietary news-reading device made by the very same company that will stop at nothing to censor them.

After all, if Apple controlled the news, we would likely never have known about the plights of children scarred for life by their exploding iPods. Or the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Chinese iPhone engineer Sun Dan-yong.

Jobs reportedly "(painted) a utopian picture of (a) happy future world awash in iPads". If freedom of the press counts for anything any more, let's hope the only place awash with iPads is the landfill.

The shitfest surround the iPad-hype profoundly showed, how the media lets every bit of objective distance fall, just because it helps their fandom. Compare it to the "embedded journalist"-fad of the early Iraq-war, same thing.

And why? Because the owners of the media outlets also want the iPad to succeed. "It's about the money, stupid", to adapt B-Dawg's famous quote.

And really sad thing is, that mainly the big and seemling most respected media was perpetuating and fueling the hype.

PS: People should watch the "1984"-ad of Crapple, and compare the "promises" to the current circumstances.

"Well let's see: Murray's a fucking idiot. You don't go to an invite only event to view a new piece of technology from Apple and then tweet on something you were probably asked NOT to use for that purpose. Some people are not only stupid they're part of the press. OUCH.

Steve is perceived as less by those who have no idea how many steps ahead of all of he's thinking. Having worked for him I can simply say that it was an honor to do so and that he simply expects those who work with him to dedicate themselves to success and doing what's best for the people that the products are being made for.

And anyone that would write something as stupid and immature as "fuck you and your family" over a product has a fucking screw loose and should be locked up and fed like an animal. Yes, that's my spiritual side talking because the lack of love shown for one shines bright as the sun back at the one who ignites the flame in the first place.

Personally people need to put the greed aside with respect to stocks and allow companies to focus on delivering quality instead of quantity and building better products that actually work without endangering our lives HELLO TOYOTA!!!

Apple's doing alright. More companies should follow their enlightened lead and create things we can actually use to get things done, instead of screwing the public.

Can't wait for the iPad 64GB/Wifi/3G version to ship.

Someone explain why it's a troll tweet? I don't see anything about it, offensive or not, that could drive Steve Jobs ballistic.
